NEARLY HALF A MILLION AT WORK SETTLEMENT REACHED IN SOUTH WALES BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. COPYBIGHT. London, November 30. With the completion of more district arrangements, 21,500 miners resumed work to-day. The total is now nearly 500,000. After a six hours’ conference, the South Wales miners reached a settlement. They will work to-morrow night. The arrangement lasts until 1929, the men working eight-hour shifts.
