POSITION AT HANKOW
QUESTIONS IN HOUSE OF COMMONS (Rec. November 30, 10.50 p.m.) London, November 29. In the House of Commons Air. J. R. AlacDonald inquired what was the position at Hankow ? . , , Sir Austen Chamberlain replied that it was generally easier, though the general strike had made great progress. Mr. H. W. Looker (Conservative, East Essex) inquired, “Will the naval forces be strengthened, in view of the fears of an outbreak involving bloodshed ?” Sir Austen Chamberlain: “We are at present discussing the matter with the Admiraltv.”
