HOSPITAL RADIO FUND
NEARLY: £BOO RECEIVED At a meeting of the Hospital Radio Fund, Mr. W. Stuart Wilson presided. An interim report on the recent concert at the Town Hall was submitted by tile secretary. A hearty vote of thanks was unanimously accorded Mr. and Mrs. I. M. Levy for the splendid work done by them in connection with the organising and management . in connection with the concert It was announced that an active canvass was now being conducted for the purpose of bringing the fund up to £lOOO, when tenders will be called for installing the broadcast receiving equipment throughout the main building of the hospital. Following is the list of the latest donations received towards the fund:— Previously acknowledged £699 2s. 6d.; Arthur Law, £26 55.; accountants branch, secretary’s office and chief telegraph office of G.P.0., £9 25.; per the secretary, &C> 195.; Playbox Club, £6 11s. 6d.; per Mrs. Peter Fraser, £4 9s. 9d.; per Mrs. Buckle’s collection £l, letter bag 10s. 6d, Hotel Cecil £2 2s. less 10 per cent., £3 ss. 3d; third form Queen Margaret’s College, £3; mechanicians’ central telephone exchange, Stout Street, £2 18s.; members Central Police Station, £2 Bs.; employees British Imperial Oil, £2 6s. 9d. ; Wellington Tramway Band, £2 25.; Scoullar and Co. Ltd., £2 25.; Wellington Artillery Band, £2; Department Agriculture, Wellington, £1 13s. Cd.; collected by Mrs. Green, £1 135.; Nestle and Anglo-Swiss Milk Company, £1 Is.; Fama Stonewood Flooring Company, 10s. 6d.; Miss E. Marshall, women’s Bible Class, collected by -Mrs. Scrisen, each 10s., £1 10s.; Mrs. W. F. England, anonyomous, 2s. 6d., ss; total to date, £779 7s. 9d.
