SAFETY OF DIMMING LIGHTS
COMMENT FROM BENCH. Dominion Special. Palmerston North, November 29. “It does not matter whether or not the motorist dimmed his lights; the general impression at the_ present time is that it is not safe to dim,” said Mr. J. L Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court this morning, in a case involving a road; collision. He addressed counsel, who was questioning a witness as to why he had not dimmed his lights at the /approach of another car. “Opinion in England is that it is better for a motorist to keep his eyes on the left of the road as a land mark,” added the Bench.
