WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. IVOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that I’ at a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council held on THL'RSDAY. November 18, 1926, the following resolution was passed: The Wellington City Council pursuant to' the provision of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920. and its Amendments, and (he Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926, and in pursuance of all other Acts and powers (if any), it enabling, doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order: (1) That a Special Loan of Twelve thousand pounds '4:12,000) to be known as "The Wellington City Unemployment Loan, 1926,’’ bo raised by the Wellington City Council for tho purpose of carrying out public works for the relief of unemployment, namely, street construction on Alexandra Road, Hornsey Road, and other streets, the object of the Local Authority in undertaking such street works being primarily .to provide employment for men who would otherwise be without employment or without sufficient employment to enable them to maintain themselves and their families in a reasonable condition of comfort. (2) That the interest on the said Loan be at a rate not exceeding Five pounds ten shillings CJSS 10s.) per centum per annum, payable half-yearly, during the currency of the said loan, being a period not exceeding ten (10> years from the 31st day of March, 1927. (3) That a sinking fund of One pound (411) per centum per annum be established in connection with the said loan. (1) That the security for the interest, sinking fund and other charges and repayment of the said loan be a special rate on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Wellington, so calculated as to yield interest and sinking fund and other charges on the said loan and 19 per cent, additional on these amounts. (5) That One hundred and twenty (129) debentures each for One hundred pounds (£199) and relative coupons in a form in conformity with the Local Bodies Loans Act. 1926. be executed, sealed and issued.
