YOUTH ATTEMPTS SUICIDE

She was busy at. tlie tiine and refused to see him, whereupon he slashed his wrist with a razor,” said Sergeant Fitzpatrick in. outlining, the case against a youth 19 years of age, charged in the Magistrate’s Court this morning with attempted suicide. The accused had since written- from the hospital - threatening suicide, and the medical superintendent had ' refused to take further .responsibility, -, - The accused said that the letter was merely a bluff. He saw .-his mistake now, and would make no further attempt. | . ' The. Magistrate said that he. _ could not accept his word, and in view of what had happened he would commit him to a reformative institution for six months. The suppression of his name was ordered.
