annual meeting. The annual meeting of the Wellington Provincial Masseurs’ Association held on Thursday. In the absence of the president. Dr. Hardwick Smith, the vice-president, Mr. R- T. McLean, took tho chair The chairman read and reviewed the report and balance-sheet. • During the course of his remarks be emphasised the benefits derived from the lectures given to the association by the members of the medical profe sion. Hp also stated to tho members that notification was received from the Masseurs' Registration Board that the Public Health Department had given instructions to the Medical Officers of Health of tho various health di tricts that an inspection is to be undertaken of all massa"e rooms and anv other rooms where the treatment of tho human body is carried out. These remarks received the heartie t approval of the members. After the adoption of the report and balance-sheet the following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President. Dr. H.
