Taumarunui, November 26. Yesterday, near Aukopae, about fifteen miles down the Wanganui River, Harry Roberts fell over a cliff and was fatally injured. The deceased was employed by the Public Works Department, and was engaged in cutting scrub preparatory to a road being formed. Roberts fell some seventy feet. A stretcher was made by his mates ancl the injured man was carried over rough country for five miles, but expired before medical attention arrived. At the inquest to-day a verdict ot accidental death was returned.
