Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd., Masterton, report having yarded a small entry of sheep and cattle at the Martinborough sale. Competition was on • par with recent sales, with prices as follow; Ewe hoggets 225. 9d., yearling dairy heifers £2 to £2 65., 2-year dairy heifers, £2 12s. Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd., Masterton, in conjunction with.the Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-op. /Xssociation Ltd. (Stock Department) report having offered on account of Mr. H. T. Hume his annual draft of 2-year-old P.A. bulls, lhe bulls came forward in good condition and were also better grown than last season. There was not a large attendance at the sale, quite a number of farmers having filled their reuirments at earlier sales and by private puicbases. However, a considerable number of the bulls were disposed of at prices ranging from 10 to 20 guineas to local buyers and to orders from le Kiiiti, Waifcanae and Mangaroa. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report:—At the Bulls sale on Monday, there was a moderate entry of sheep and pigs. At the Ashhurst sale on November 17. there was a good yarding of both sheep and cattle, a total clearance being effected under the hammer, and the following are prices-.-Fat ewes, 16s. 2d.; fat and forward ewes, 145.; tat wethers. 225. 3d.: ewe hoggets, shorn. 18s. ul. to M .. springing cows, £8 12s. fid to .£9 2s. 6d.. . cows in milk £7. 2s. 6d ; springing heifers. £6. heifers in milk, £3 10s. to £4 7s 6d.; fat heifers, £6 to £i 10s.; fat cows. £5 155.; forward cows. £3 55.; Jersey crossbred yearling heifers £2 ss. to £3 12s. 6d.; Jersey bulls, £5 to £6 7s. 6(1.: weaner pigs, 215.; hack, £7 17s. 6d.; aged draught, marc, £10; quantity of harness and sundries sold at late rates At the snccessfnl dairy sale on account of Mrs. iv. A. Doughty, Bulls, on November 18. there was a very fair attendance of buyers, and the following are onotntions:—Shorthorn cows. £4 55.. £5 to £6; .Tersev cross cows. £7. £7 10s., £8 10s.. £9 2s 6d.. £lO ?B. 6d to £lO 55.; dairy heifers. £3 17s. 6d. to £5 10s.; store cows, 275, £2 15s. , - , At the supplementary cattle fair on November 19, there waa a small entry of sheep.
