BOOT SHOP STOCK DAMAGED.

Palmerston North, November 25.

Shortly before 6 o'clock this evening there was an outbreak of fire in the boot emporium in Rangitikei Street occupied by W. J. Donald and W J- Roberts. The fire was for the most part confined to the upper portion of the building, but the boot shop wa- badly burnt and stock was fairly extensively damaged. Two other shops a cycle de pot. and tea rooms, the latter conducted bv G. Steel, were affected by water and smoke. The cause of the fire is unknown. The three shops are owned bv Mr. I'- J Sheppard, of Rangitikei Street.
