The balance-sheet of the Nelson .Freezing Co., Ltd., for the year ended September 30 shows a gross revenue of .£4,1.84. as compared with .£5013 in the preceding year. The expenditure under all heads, including repairs and maintenance, totalled .£3909, against .£4178, leaving the net profit at .£5BO, as compared with £834. There was brought forward from the previous year .£llll, making a total of £1691, which has been carried forward. This is the second year in succession that the directors have had to pass the dividend. The stock dealt with during the year was very much smaller in number, the totals being '15,048 against 19,277 in the 1924-25 season. The items of the bal-ance-sheet, with those for Inst year in parentheses, are as follow Liabilities: Capital, .£34,920 (£34,785); forfeited shares account, .£l5l (£151); Union Bank, -£5Bll (.£9926); income tax reserve, .£491 (.£529); New Zealand Government debentures, >£6(WO (.£6000); reserve account, £3700 (.£3700); . sundry creditors, including drafts against consignments, £7788 (£18,598); profit and loss, £1691 (.£1110). Assets: Buildings, plant, land, etc., £49,031 (.£49,031); advances, stocks, sundry debtors and consignments. <£11,520 (£23.367); War Bonds, nil (£2400). Total, £60,551 (.£74,799).
