OPEN SEASONS FOR DEER
Open seasons for deer shooting next year were announced last night. In the Southland acclimatisation district (excepting Stewart Island) red deer stags and hinds may be taken between March 24, 1927, and May 31, 1927, while from March 1 next until May 31 next wapiti may be taken in the Fiordland Park. The open season for red deer, stags and hinds, in the Westland acclimatisation district is from March 1, 1927, to April 30, 1927.
