ROYAL VISIT TO CANBERRA
DUKE AND DUCHESS MAY PLANT TREES.

It is understood ‘hat a proposal has been made to Mr. S. Bruce, who has submitted it to his Cabinet, that the Duke and Duchess of York plant at Canberra four English tree seedlings from Kew Gardens, to form the nuclei of four coppices. Dr. Hills, curator of Kew Gardens, is enthusiastic over the scheme and has undertaken to select the trees. Air. Bruce is awaiting the Cabinet’s reply. .
