A Press Association message reports the death of the Superintendent of Police at Dunedin. Mr. Matliieson, at the age of GO years, after an illness lasting some weeks. Mr Matliieson, wiio had been in the Police Force for over forty wars, was at one time sergeant in’charge of the Wellington South station Colonel and Mrs. Knott, of rhe Salvation Army, returned yesterday from a visit to tiie South Island.
