POLICE CASES.

Police cases in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday were dealt with by Mr. B. Page, S.M. . ~ For casting offensive matter on the street, Charles Stephen York Freeman alias Black, a traveller aged 30, was fined 10s. For failing: to comply with a maintenance order in respect to Ins wife and child, Freeman was remanded to appear at Auckland. t A remand until this morning was granted in the case of Kenneth Guy, aged 18, charged with the theft ot postal notes worth 6s. At the afternoon session, over which Mr. Salmon, S.M., presided, a bakers assistant, Francis Peter Inghs Newman was convicted and fined £5. with costs X 3 Ils., for negligently driving a motor-cycle.
