NEW ZEALAND TEAM BEATS KEIGHLEY HOME SIDE OUTPLAYED By Telegraph.—Press association. COPYRIGHT. (Rec. November 24, 5.5 p.m.) London, November 23. The New Zealand Rugby League touring team defeated Keighley to-day by 21 points to 3. Fielfling almost their strongest side, the visitors completely outplayed Keighley, and, although inconsistent in the later stages of the game, dasheo off with a great flourish, and played fine football during the first twenty minutes. Tbe forwards Mouat, Carroll, and Singe were most prominent, and scrummaged excellently, giving their halves many chances The'passing ot the backs bordered on brilliancy, and Keighley were unable to check the attacks. ’Sanders, Singe, and Davidson secured Dies in quick time, Mouat converting one, and kicking a penalty goal, giving New Zealand the lead by 13 points to nil The visitors then eased up, and the scrummaging deteriorated, play becoming more even. Keighlev secured possession more frequently,' but lacked the necessary finish to complete their movements. Earlv in the second half gave a pass to Craven, who secured keighlev’s onlv try. The New Zealanders then reattacked. Carroll and Mouat obtaining tries, Mouat converting his own. Delgrosso and Davidson exhibited some admirable individual play. Although the New Zealand players were in good form. Keighlev was without several of its regular plavers, and generally gave a noor display. The receipts were £293. The New Zealand team was: Dnfty, Brown, Davidson, Desmond, Saunders, Brisbane, Delgrosso, Henry, Carroll, Herring, Wright, Singe, and Mouat.
