During the last three months the New Zealand Standard Porcelains, Lio., possessing the formula of the latest leadless process of enamelling, Yjere approached by Slotters. Ltd <. f Sydney, a verv large firm, and the result lias been a merger of the two : onoe.’ns, with a capital of £250.000. Metters. Ltd., have in the past worked by another process. Since the amalgamation cf forces the works at I'etone have been completed, and last week saw the first, shipment of material made from the works This was a consignment of leadless enamel (in powdered form), forwardjd to ..ydney by the Ulimaroa for use in Metters. Ltd., works there. Some enamelled plates for eas stove making were also s’ipped to Christchurch last week from the works This week a start is Icing made with the enamelling of 150 baths, 'he castings of which have turned out splendidly.
The Taranaki Oil Fields. Limited. Pressreport for the week ended November 20. reads:—Waiapu No. 2 well: Transport ami erection of camp well forward Greater part of rig material on site. Weather fine.
