Under the Aliens Act 5349 persons who held written promises of employment were allowed to enter Britain last year. Of these 1540 were nurses and domestic servants. . The Arawa tribe of Maoris lias invited the North American Indians who are now engaged in a Him project in Australia to visit New Zealand as the guests of the Arawas. The “Rotorua Chronicle” says that if this invitation is accepted the Indians will arrive some time in January.
