ROSE SHOW TO-DAY
Tim Rose Show to be held in Hie Town Hall to-day is expected to be the best .vet held. Record entries have been received. Entries have been received from as far afield as Napier. This year’s roses seem to have struck the show at their best, and visitors to the Town Hall to-day are promised a display’ second to none in the Dominion. Besides the roses, there havf been received entries for pansies afid violas. For the R. A. Nichol trophv for I’2 blooms a dozen entries have been received The ladies decorative sections alone will, it is stated, make the hall worth a visit. For decorated tables twelve entries have been received There will be an excellent collection of tables of trade exhibits bv the following: T. Waugh and Son, F Westburv am! H Poole, of Lower Hutt, Evan and Sawver, of Manakau. and A. Anderson, of Napier. There will also be large displays of roses from the Zoo and the Botanical Gardens. Afternoon ten will be dispensed by the ladies of the society, and a first-class orchestra has been engaged. Ihe show will be officially opened bv His Worship the Mavor at 3 p.tn '1 h n public will be admitted to the show cont : ;iuouslv from ‘2 o’clock to 9.30 p.tn., when there will be a sale of prize blooms.
