Christchurch, November 22. The recent rains and spells of cold weather experienced in Canterbury have had the effect of delaying the opening of the freezing season by a week and possibly a fortnight. Until the works open on either December 6 or 13, it is impossible to say what the position will be locally in regard to the freezing workers’ dispute.
DAIRY COMPANY’S INTERESTS . BUSH ASSOCIATION FORMED. BY TULEGUAI'b . : Pahlatua, November 22. Representatives of thirty dairy factories in the district from Eketahuna to Woodville at a meeting liece formed a Bush Dairy Companies’ Association. Directors were elected and rules were adopted. The association was formed to secure united action “nd mutual interest on matters pertaining to factories. STOCK SALES Messrs. Levin and Co., ' td., report:— At the Bulls sale on November 14. there was a medium entry of sheep and pigs, and a full yarding ot cattle. Sheep met with a dull sale, while pigs vere keenly sought after, and prices showed a sharp rise on the previous sale. The cattle, which were chiefly fat and forward cows, sold at late values.
