At to-night meeting of the Cit.v Council. the Mayor’s proposal that the permit granted to the Vacuum Oil Company for the erection of underground petrol storage tanks at Addington, be revoked, > was defeated by nine votes to seven, and the council’s previous resolution was affirmed.
