A Press Association message from Westport states that at low water an extensive sandbank, with snags projecting in many places, is seen stretching well down alongside the wharves, where in days of Harbour Board control the dredging Uo.llia and other vessels used to lie. THE WAIHEMO. The Union Company advise that the Waihemo. at present discharging her Pacific Coast cargo at Wellington, will leave here on Wednesday for Melbourne and Sydney, to complete discharge. The vessel will then proceed to Pacific Coast ports, where she will load durin"' February for Napier. Lyttelton. Dunedin, and New Plymouth. TAHITI. FROM SAN FRANCISCO. Wireless advice has been received by the Union Company from their R.M.S. Tahiti, staling that the vessel, cn route I
from San Francisco to Wellington, will arrive in the stream at 7 o’clock this morning. She will berth at about 9 o’clock at No. 1 north Queen’s Wharf. The Tahiti is scheduled to leave Wellington at 3 p.m. to-morrow for Sydney. TREGENNA AT AUCKLAND. The A. and A. Line steamer Tregenna arrived at Auckland cn Saturday afternoon from New York. After putting out part cargo, the vessel will come on to Wellington, and is due here about the end of the week. THE HORORATA. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer llororata sailed from Tokomaru Bay at 3.30 p.m. on Friday for New York anil Loudon, via Panama Canal. OTAKI AT WELLINGTON. From Liverpool, via Auckland, the Otaki arrived at Wellington on Saturday morning, and berthed at the King's Wharf to discharge to the agency of the Federal Company. The vessel will leave Wellington on Wednesday for Lyttelton and Dunedin, to complete discharge. FORERIC FOR NEW ZEALAND. . The Andrew Weir Line steamer Foreric (5185 tons), left Tampa on November 1 for Now Zealand ports. The vessel will arrive in New Zealand waters about December 1. CABLE STEAMER IRIS. The cable repair steamer Iris arrived at Wellington early on Saturday morning from Auckland, to load submarine telegraph cable for repair work in Cook Strait. The vessel took in a quantity of cable on Saturday, and is to sail for Cook Strait early this morning. GENERAL SMUTS FOR NEW ZEALAND. The German steamer General Smuts (4365 tons), left Melbourne on November 6 for Fremantle and Ilunbury. She will load timber at the last-named port for New Zealand ports. CANADIAN SCOTTISH IN PORT. An arrival at Wellington at 8.50 o'clock on Saturday morning was the Canadian Scottish, from Montreal, via Auckland. The vessel berthed at the Taranaki Street Wharf, to unload part cargo. She will sail to-day for Lyttelton, ’limaru, and Dunedin. WEST HENSHAW AT AUCKLAND. The American steamer West Henshaw arrived at Auckland from San Pedro. California, ou Thursday afternoon, to unload a large quantity of timber, case oil, general cargo, and mails. The vessel made an uneventful trip across the Pacific. encountering fair weather until about four days ago, when strong bead winds and high seas made conditions uncomfortable. After putting out the Auckland portion of her cargo she will sail ■ to-morrow for Napier, Lyttelton, and New Plymouth, to complete discharge. Captain R.
