NO OVERTIME
BY AUSTRALIAN WHARF WORKERS SERIOUS DEVELOPMENTS EXPECTED (Rec. November 21, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, November 21. A mass meeting of members of the Waterside Workers’ Federation decided, as a protest against the delay of the Federal Arbitration Count in hearing claims for a new award, not to work overtime from Monday next. This decision applies in all the States, and will seriously affect oversea and inter-State shipping, and delay the shipment of wool and wheat. Serious developments are expected. Melbourne, November 21. The Stevedores’ Association has decided to fall in line with the Water- 1 side Workers’ Federation, and not to work overtime.
