STIRRING SPECTACLE
PARADE OF MEN-OF-WARSMEN Many’ of those who were in the city at about noon on Saturday were treated to a sight as rare as it is thrilling—a parade' ot the men of H.M.S. Dunedin and Diomede, each company headed by its band, the occasion being the return of the two companies from their annual musketry course at Trentham With the band in the lead playing that stimulating marching song, “Sons of the Sea,” the companies, under arms, swung along Lambton Quay, and turned down Grcv Street to the Queens Wharf, where the warships were berthed, rousing big crowds of onlookers frou the shops and offices along the route of the march. Clearly there is still magic in the music of a naval band, especially when some two or three hundred bluejackets with rifles at the slope arc marching behind.
