SUMMER FLOWERS

KARORI ROSE SHOW Although the weather on Saturday was not very like summer, the Karori Horticultural bociety neid its first summer show. There were a large number of entries, and a wonderful display of Howers. There were several exhibits of pot plants and flowers grown by local nursery gardeners, which were an indication of what Karori cun do in this direction. The following are the results:— Awards of merit were presented to Mr. Griffiths for a show of pansies; Mr. Pulley for an exhibition of pot-plants and dowers; G. Fain, collection of pansies; City Council, exhibit of flowers; Mr. Lazenby, pot-plants and cut dowers; St. Mary’s Home, exhibit of fancy work.
