BREACH OF PROMISE
£2OO DAMAGES AWARDED BY TEbEGi: Wanganui, November 19. In a claim for £2OOO damages for breach of promise, Kathleei Scanlon, a nurse, obtained damages amounting to £2OO from Alexander Haunay, of Palmerston North, formerly managing director of Manson and Barr, and also a shareholder in the firm. The parties met in December last. The engagement was a short one, starting in February and only lasting a few months.
