Sydney, November 19.

Mr. J. J.. .Staples, who represented -New Zealand, advertising clubs at the recent convention of the Association of Advertising Clubs of the World at Philadelphia, has arrived at Sydney, en route to Christchurch. He said that the Americans took advertising very seriously, and were applying it to the amelioration of all soils and conditions, as well as for commercial purposes. It was decided during the convention to seek the assistance of prominent advertising men to evolve- sonic scheme' to stem the tide of-unpopular-ity ci Amwicitu abroad.:
