KIMBOLTON TENNIS CLUB OPENING
The official opening of the Kimbolton Tennis Club took place last Saturday, and, despite the somewhat unfavourable weather conditions, was a distinct success. Several members from the neighbouring clubs were present bv invitation, and some very good displays of tennis were given. The programme for the afternoon was a Yankee tournament, some verv close primes being witnessed. The final was plaved between Miss Cunimerfield (Apiti), and the Rev. Mayo (Kimbolton) and Miss K. Murray and Mr. Alver (Kimbolton), the former combination being the winners. In presenting the trophies, Mr. A. W. Gray thanked the visitors for their attendance, as did the Rev. Mayo, the president of the club, who also thanked Mr. and Mrs. Grav for donating the trophies, and for the great interest they have shown in the chib. Arnone those present was Mr. W. Hair, patron of the chib, who has been untiring in his efforts to promote its interests, as has also Mr. G Shanley, the secretary Excellent lunch and afternoon tea were provided by the ladies.
