Some small vessels are aground. Telegraph and telephone communication is completely disorganised. The inter-State lines are affected. Sydney, November 18. The storm that did so much damage in Melbourne was felt to a lesser degree in Sydney, where the wind reached a velocity of 54 miles an hour. Exceptionally high seas were experienced off the coast, and shipping was buffeted.
