The task of assembling the trains and loading the lattle v-as carried out chiefly at Remuera, which was a scene of activity for many hours. To-night at 9.30 was dispatched a train such as has never before been seen in tlie Aucxlaud j rovince end probably never before yi the Dominion. It was unique both in icgard to its length and to ks freight, for it consisted of 03 trucks .nd it carried the valuable animals which rad been forwarded from Waikato and intermediate and surrounding 'districts to the show. Its length represented probably the. absolute limit to which a train could be extended. Almost equally striking was a train which is to be dispatched at about 5 o’clck to-morrow morning for Marton and southern districts. It carried show animals for the south of the North Island end the whole of the South Island, end its freight included some if the Dominion’s most valuable championship winners. . ... In all, five special trains were required.
