MEETING OF ELECTORS’ ASSOCIATION. At the monthly executive meeting of the Brooklyn District Municipal Electors’ Association, it was reported that £lO3 had been paid over to the Carillon Society as the Brooklyn. Mornington. and Vogeltown contribution towards a bell. The action of the association's delegates in agreeing :to join with Lyall Buy and Hataitai for a district bell, costing £352, was approved, while it was decided that any funds remaining after Brooklyn's quota had been paid, should go to the association’s credit for the campanille. The association authorised its delegates to express approval at the next meeting of the Carillon Society of the proposal for a national memorial and carillon on the Mount Cook site! It was decided to draw attention to testate of Ohiro road and ask the City Council to have the thoroughfare placed in order. Members commented on the excellent manner in -which the tram duplication had been carried from Seager’s corner to Todmm Street. It was resolved to forward a letter to the council congratulating them on the work. A communication from the Civic League, stating that they hnd selected Councillor Troun as their .candidate, was deferred for discussion until rext meeting of the association.
