INJURED WORKMAN’S CLAIM. His Honour the Chief Justice presided in the Supreme Court yesterday, when he was asked to access damages in the case in which Patrick Brick claimed £BOO from the Stewart Timber and Hardware Company, Limited, as compensation for injuries received as the result of an accident on June XI, 1925, when the breaking of a sling caused the plaintiff’s leg to be broken bv falling logs. Negligence on the part of defendants had been established at a previous hearing of the case before His lionour Mr. Justice XXeed, but the question of damages had not been settled. At yesterday’s hearing, medical evidence was called by Mr. O. C. garb, who appeared for plaintiff. Dr- w. F. Robertson, Sir Donald McGavin, and Dr. H. C. Faulke giving evidence.
