The Huddart-Parker Company advise that the Ulimaroa will leave Wellington at noon to-day for Sydney. _ She is due there next Tuesday, and will leave the following Friday for Auckland. THE WAHINE. The Union Company report that the Wahine will not arrive at- Wellington until 9.30 a.m. on Sunday from Lyttelton. The vessel will not leave Lyttelton until lata to-morrow night, as sho will wait to pick up the Gilbert and Sullivan company, which is at present playing in Christchurch. THE WINGATUI. The Union Company advise that the Wingatui is due at Devonport. Tasmania, next Thursday, from Auckland. The vessel will load there and complete at Melbourne for Wellington and Auckland. KAIWARRA LEAVES NEWCASTLE. ■ Cabled advice has been received that the Kaiwarra left Newcastle yesterday for Napier and Auckland. SHOAL GROUND OFF CAPE FOULWINT) Cantaiti A. S. Dalgleish, master of the K-’innoi. reports havine obtained a sound'ng of 11 fathoms fine sand with a snrinkling of shell when making West nort from the westa’ard in thick weather on October 29. The position of shoal sounding is given by Oatain Dalgleish
as Cape Pouliviud lighthouse bearing south 89 degrees east, magnetic, distant 16 miles. Captain Dalgleish further reports having obtained a least sounding of 18 fathoms showing a bottom of similar nature with Cape Foulwind lighthouse bearing east ,i north, magnetic, distant 16 miles.
THE THALATTA. Messrs. Burns, Philp and Company advise that the Norwegian motor-ship Thar latta, 5671 tons, is due at Dunedin tomorrow morning from Scandinavian and South African ports, via Melbourne and Sydney. The vessel left Sydney on Tuesday. She will discharge, at Dunedin, Nelson, Wellington, and Auckland.
OTAKI LEAVES AUCKLAND. The Otaki did not clear Auckland until 6.30 a.m. yesterday for Wellington,. in continuation of her voyage from Liverpool. The vessel is due at Wellington to-morrow morning. She comes to the agency of the Federal Company. RUAHINE LEAVES BLUFF. The New Zealand Shipping Company s Ruahine left Bluff at. 12.39 p.m. yesterday for Port Chalmers, for further Homeward loading. TREVORIAN LEAVES NEW YORK. Cabled news has been received by Mr. W. Wallis that the A. and A. Line steamer Trevorian sailed from New York on Saturday with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland on December 21, and at Wellington about ten days later. ROTORUA LEAVES SOUTHAMPTON. According to a cable message received by the New Zealand Shipping Company, the Rotorua, after loading at London, left Southampton on Wednesday for Auckland. Wellington, and Bluff- The vessel is due at Auckland <n December 23, and at Wellington a week later. THE PORT HOBART. The 0. and D. Line steamer Port Hobart arrived at Wellington yesterday from New Plymouth, and berthed at the Glasgow Wharf, to continue loading. She will leave Wellington on Tuesday for Napier, to fill up for London. THE CANADIAN EXPLORER. The Canadian Explorer arrived at Boston on November 13 from Auckland, via New York, en route to Halifax. The vessel left Auckland on October 4. DEWEY LEAVES LOS ANGELES. Messrs. Burns, Philp and Company advise that the steamer Dewey left Loe Angeles on November 13 with Pacific Coast cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. The vessel is due at Auckland on December 7, and at Wellington about a week later, THE CANADIAN SCOTTISH. The Canadian Scottish is due at Wellington to-night or to-morrow morning from Montreal, via Auckland, to continue discharge. The vessel is to leave Wellington on Monday lor Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. THE HOBORATA. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the Hororata arrived at Tokomaru Bav at 5 a.m. yesterday from Auckland, to fill up ' She will leave Tokomaru Bay at noon to-day for New York and London, via Panama Canal. MISCELLANEOUS. The liner Tainui is to leave Dunedin on Monday for Lyttelton, to complete discharge of her London cargo. The Orepuki, with a full load of timber from Greymouth, for discharge at Wei lington, Petone, and Miramar, is due at Wellington to-night. She will leave again on Tuesday for Westport and Greymouth. The Progress, due at Wellington to-day from Wanganui, will leave later in the day for Timaru and Lyttelton. She is due back here on Tuesday, and will go on to Wanganui and New Plymouth. The Gale, from southern ports, is due at Wellington on Wednesday, and will go on to Wanganui. The Kahika will leave Wellington today for Dunedin, where she will load on Monday, via ports, for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. The Katoa will load cement at Portland next Thursday for Wellington and Lyttelton. The Komata, from Westport, _is due at Wellington to-morrow. She will leave on Tuesday for Westport to load for this port. The Opihi will load ajt Dunedin on Tuesday, via ports, for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Westport.
