TELEGRAPHIC COMMUNICATION DISORGANISED. (Rec. November 17. 8.30 p.m.) Melbourne, November 17. Heavy wind and rain-storms have disorganised all intcr-State telegraphic communication. Brisbane, November 1/ Heavy rains experienced in the drought-stricken areas have greatly benefited'crops. The do..npour was' so heavy in many places that all telephone and telegraph lines arc down. . EXTENSIVE DAMAGE DONE. (Rec. November 17, 11.50 p.m.) Melbourne. November 17. Tiie storm caused extensive damage. Houses were unroofed, telephone and telegraph lines snapped as though they were cotton, and numbers of small craft in Port Phillip were, blown from their moorings on to the rocks and destroyed.
