of Canterburv College, who has been elected to fill a position in the secretariat of the International Labour Office in Geneva. There were 15 applicants from New Zealand and five in London. Air, Riches was educated at the Geraldiqe and Timaru High Schools, being dux of the latter in 1923. In 1924. he went to Canterbury College with a junior national scholarship. He has won prizes in economic history and French, and was awarded the John Conual scholarship for 1925. Mr. Riches is secretary of the Canterburv College Students’, Association," and "is 21 years of age. He will leave for Geneva early next year.;. —Standish and Preece, photo.
