SUM OWED BY BRITAIN TO UNITED STATES EXCEEDED BY AMOUNTS OWING TO HER (Rec. November 17, 8.30 p.m.) London, November 16. In the House of Commons the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. W. S. Churchill, informed Colonel 11. C. Woodcock that Britain owed the United States 932 millions sterling. Britain had received under the war debt fundings two millions from Fraucp, which still owed 797 millions; from Italy, four millions had been received. ' and there were still owing 271 millions; from Rumania she had received fifty thousand, while thirty-one millions were still owing. The total receipts thus were £6,050,000, leaving 1099 millions still owing to Britain.
