WHAT DO YOU DO?
CORPORATION OFFICERS’ 4 DUTIES At the request ol the down Clerk, all the principal officers, foremen, supervisors, and others' tn the employ of the Citv Corporation have been served with forms on which they are to detail the duties they are expected to perform, the number of men under their charge, etc. This information is being collated so that the ttew officers (the Town Clerk and the city engineer) may know exactly, without consulting the men individually, who they are, and the work for which they arc held responsible. This information should be of particular interest to the new city engineer (Mr. G. A. Hart), who is due to arrive here from England towards the end of next month. ' As lie is entirely ignorant of local conditions, and staff, and how the work is apportioned (as fm as the engineer’s department is concerned), the information being compiled must be-helpful to him in getting u true perspective, of the work, that lies before him, and the instruments that lie to his hand.
