RAILWAY SERVANTS
ELECTIONS OF OFFICIALS. The general elections of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants are now being held. For the first time in the history of. the organisation the elections of the executive council of eight, the conference of sixteen, and the general secretary will be by direct vote of the members. The position of secretary has fallen vacant through the. retirement of Mr. M-. J. Alack, who has held that office since 1908. The biennial conference will meet at Wellington on the first Alonday in February next.
