FIRE AT THE HUTT
A six-roomed wooden dwelling, occupied by Mr. Berry, in I’orutu Street, Lower Hutt, was totally destroyed by fire shortly after 9 o’clock on Tuesday night. Tlie Lower Hutt Fire Brigade was summoned, but the fire had too strong a’hold by the’ time they arrived on the scene. There was a cover on the furniture in the Alliance office for £250.
