A RICH FIND
WHOSE IS THE MONEY? Dominion Special. Auckland, November 16. The Auckland Hospital Board is in a quandary as to wiiat to do with a sum of £265 "in cash, which has been found in a house rented for a number of years by two old people aged 86 and 91 years, who have been admitted to the infirmary. The Pensions Department has cast eyes on the money, and has made a claim for a refund of £277, which, it contends, has been overpaid to the old couple. The board decided to hand the money over to the Public Trustee to settle the matter, but the Trustee is doubtful whether lie can accent it. The old people's memory has failed them, and they have no idea as to whom the money belongs. Probably it has boon nce'-mnlatip" over a number of years. The hoard will probably retain the money, and let flic Pensions Department take action to decide the question of ownership.
