ROSS SEA WHALING
« — C. A. LARSEN REACHES PORT CHALMERS. Dominion Special. Dunedin, November 16. The Norwegian whaling ship, the C. A. Larsen, arrived at Port Chalmers this afternoon on her way from Sandffjord, Norway, to the Ross Sea. This vessel, which was formerly the San Gregorio, was built at Newcastle-on-Tyne in 1913, for the Eagle Oil Transport Company. She was fitted out for whaling before leaving Norway this trip bv the owners of the'Sir James Clarke Ross, which lately left the whaling base at Stewart Island for the Ross Sea. That vessel was accompanied bv' five chasers,, and a similar number will go south with the C. A Larsen, which has called hero to take in a supply of fresh water for the whaling cruise to the Antarctic. Captain O. Neilsen, who had charge of the Sir Janies Clarke Ross last season, is now master of the C. A. Larsen.
