A special meeting of the Hillside branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railwa" Servants was addressed ■at great length last veiling by Dlr. L, Mcllvride. The meeting, after’hearing the speaker, passed unanimously a resolution endorsing his candidature for the position of general secretary of the A.S.R.S., aud calling upon all members to support him at the poll. —Special Correspondent.
