L_4 ACCEPTANCE FAVOURED IN SEVERAL MINING DISTRICTS MORE MINERS RETURN TO WORK By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. (Rec. November 16, 7.40 p.m.) London, November 16. Nine coal-mining districts thus far have decided in favour of acceptance of the settlement terms, including the Rhondda Valley, which is regarded as significant. The South Wales decision to accept the terms as a matter of loyalty to the Miners’ Federation gave a most important lead. Secrecy is maintained in Yorkshire, but it is reported that the proposals have been overwhelmingly adopted. , •* To-day 7442 miners returned to work, making a total working of 338,153. MORE FUNDS FROM RUSSIA (Rcc. November 17. 1.20 a.m.) Moscow, November 16. It is announced that the Soviet trade unions have remitted a further sum of £65,000 to the British miners.
