THE SIR JAMES CLARKE ROSS
ANTARCTIC SUNSHINE AT 10 P.M. A Wellington amateur wireless operator was able to get into touch with the whaling ship Sir James Clarke Ross at 10 o’clock on Sunday night, when the captain reported that the ship was in heavy ice and it was very cold, although at 10 p.m. the sun was shining brilliantly.
