FATAL MOTOR-CAR ACCIDENT
FLOCK HOUSE TRAINEE KILLED BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. Pahiatua, November 15. George Vinton (aged 15) died in the Pahiatua Hospital on Sunday morning as the result of very severe injuries to the head and two fractures of the left leg. He was knocked down on the main Masterton road on Saturday afternoon by a car driven by Mr. John Drummond, and conveying a party of Dannevirke bowlers to Pahiatua. v niton was a former Flock House trainee, and had been employed for the past three months by Mr. Richard Hadfield, a farmer, near Woodville. He was walking along the road when the car approached, and it is reported that the car was passing a motor-lorry at the time and that the deceased stepped out from behind the lorry, which was proceeding to Woodville. Vinton came to the Dominion from London early in the year. An inquest was opened this morning and adjourned.
