XTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that A’ at a Special Meeting of the Weilington City Council held on THUESDAY, November 11, 1926, the following resolution was passed:— The Wellington City Council hereby makes by Special Order the following By-law in pursuance and exercise of the authorities and powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the 1 Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and its amendments, and in pursuance and exercise of every other power and authority enabling it in that behalf. The short title of fhis By-law is "The Wellington City By-law No. 53 (Dispensing Power Extension), 1926.’’ The object and purport of the By-law arc:— To provide that the dispensing power of the Wellington City Council in relation to By-laws set out in Clause 1002 of Bv-law "No. 1 shall apply and operate in respect of every By-law in force in the Citv of Wellington. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Resolution will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Wellington Citv Council to be held on THURSDAY. NTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 21st day of October, 1926, it was resolved as follow :— The Wellington City Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order to accept a surrender of Lease dated the 29th day of May. 1913, Registered number 110950, maile between the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington of the one part and the Drapery and General Importing Company of New Zealand, Limited, of the other, part of Sections 72, 73, 76, and 77, Lambton Reclamation, and to grant to the surrenderor, the said Company, a new lease for the unexnired portion of the term of the surrendered lease subject to the following provisions:— 1. The new lease shall contain provisions for renewal for successive periods of twenty-one years at a ground rent to be fixed by valuation. 2. The rental for the term of the new lease shall be at the present annual rental. , ~ . ~ 3. The new lease shall contain all other usual covenants contained in the existing leases granted by the Corporation in the same locality, and shall be settled bv the City Solicitor. 4.
