The Government Statistician estimates the production of wheat in Western Australia for the coming harvest at 28,886,623 bushels from 2,245,983 acres, an average of 11.8 bushels an acre. ROYAL SHOW OPENS TO-DAY Dominion Special. Auckland, November 15. Auckland’s first Royal show will be opened at the showgrounds to-morrow. The Governor-General will perform the official ceremony and will bo entertained at luncheon by the executive of the show. Distinguished visitors, show judges and prominent citizens who have taken part in organising tho Royal show carnival week will also he present. "People’s Day.” at the show will be Wednesday, and TTis Excellency will attend to decorate the championship winners. The competition for the best box of butter for export was won by the Whaugarci Dairy Company. and Opouriao won a siinilar contest for cheese, both competitions being confined to Auckland district factories.
