MAGISTRATE'S COURT

Mr. W. G. Riddell. S.M.. presided In the Magistrate's Court yesterday. For a third offence of drunkenness Aus More, a labourer (aged 47), was fined XL in default three days’ imJohn Edward Byrue, a seaman (aged 36). was fined .t2. in default, seven days' imprisonment, fora for a fourth breach of his prohibition order. For a second offence of drunkenness he was convicted and discharged. For fighting each other in Grey Street, Robert Allan Khan, alias William MeClier. a fireman (aged 23), and John William Lucas, an upholsterer (aged 28) were both convicted and fined 22, and .£1 respectively, in default seven days’ imprisonment.* For being found by night without lawful excuse, but in- circumstances not disclosing the intent of any other offence, in a shed on the Hutt Road. William Sylvester Roberts, a seaman (aged 50), wns convicted, and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon within six months.
