FIRE AT LOWER HUTT
A five-roomed house and its contents, owned and occupied by H. Pope, Nai Nai Road, Lower Hutt, was destroyed by fire shortly before 10 o’clock last night. Although the brigade proceeded to the outbreak they could do little, no water supply being available. The house. Yvas covered by an insurance policy for £BOO in the State office. The contents were uninsured.
