FUTURE WHEAT SUPPLIES
“POOL SYSTEM WILL BE WORLDWIDE.” (Rec. November 14, 5.5 p.m.) Ottawa, November 13. Mr. H. W. Wood, head of the Canadian wheat pool, has returned home from the Orient and Australia. He said that he could see no hope of a vorld wheat pool under a central management, but he declared that the pool system would be world-wide and would dominate future grain operations. He added that the Australian pool would ultimately achieve the fullest measure of success, despite many difficulties; He found Japan remaining a good grain market, but China was too unsettled politically to offer immediate prospects of a stable marketing field.
